About Us
Our Story
The predecessor of our church was the Chinese Bible Study Class started in 1996. On September 28, 2003, the first meeting was held in the North Hall of First Baptist Church (FBC, Fayetteville) Sunday worship. On August 20, 2006, FBC officially leased the church's current location (formerly known as Emmanuel Baptist Church, 301 S. Duncan Ave.) to the church. In October 2022, under the guidance of God, Brother Zhuang Shangyi officially accepted the church’s invitation and became a full-time preacher of the church in January 2023.
Our Mission
Our church is non-denominational and is determined to follow the great commission given to us by the Lord Jesus. The preachers and church workers are responsible for the church's holy work. You are welcome to come to worship with your family and friends, and participate in various ministries and activities organized by the church.
Our Belief
We believe that the original texts of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God (God-breathed) and are beneficial for teaching, rebuking, correcting people, and teaching people righteousness. The entire Bible is error-free and cannot be abrogated, added or deleted. It is the highest authority for our faith and the highest standard for our lives.
We believe that God is the only true God, the only and eternal Creator of heaven and earth and all things. We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three persons in one God, with the same status, equality, authority, and glory.
We believe in the divine-human nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human. He never sinned in his life, and all his teachings and words were truth from God. He became flesh and came into the world to manifest God’s glory and to atone for the sins of the world. He was also conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He obeyed God’s will and sacrificed himself to be the sin offering for everyone. He shed his precious blood and died on the cross to bear the sins of the world, so that all those who believe in Him would be justified before God because of His precious blood. Three days after his death, He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. He now sits at the right hand of the throne of God and becomes the High Priest and Advocate of all believers.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person and one of the Triune God. The Holy Spirit brings people to repentance and rebirth, serves as the Comforter in the hearts of believers, and becomes the seal and guarantee that every believer has an inheritance in Christ. God also reveals the truth of the Bible and His mysteries to all believers who are born again and saved through the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is the responsibility and privilege of every believer to strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Every believer who is born again of the Holy Spirit is willing to obey the Holy Spirit, live a life that relies on the Holy Spirit to overcome sin, bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and increasingly have the character of Christ, worship, obey and serve God. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers as He wills, and gives all kinds of gifts to believers according to the measure of the Son Christ, in order to perfect each believer and build up the body of Christ.
We believe that angels are true, sinless spiritual beings created by God. They are spirits who serve God and messengers who convey messages. We believe that Satan is the fallen archangel Lucifer, who led a group of angels to rebel against God and is the greatest enemy of God and man. Satan uses this group of fallen angels to achieve his goals of opposing God and persecuting believers. He will be judged by God's final eternal fire.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of the Triune God.
We believe that due to the sin of our ancestor Adam, sin entered the world and came to all people, causing people to be separated from God and have no hope in living in the world.
We believe that salvation is given by God's grace to all believers who are saved by faith, and is the work of God in Jesus Christ. Only by trusting in the blood of Jesus shed on the cross and being justified by the faith given by God can people avoid God's wrath and judgment and reconcile with God. We believe that all believers who are born again and saved will never be condemned or perish in God's protection and the redemption accomplished by Jesus. We believe that believers should never use the freedom they are called to indulge in lust and satisfy their own desires. We believe that the process of believers' sanctification explained in the Bible includes the following aspects:
According to His will, God brings sinners to Jesus so that those who believe in Him can be saved and separated from the world to be used by God.
The Holy Spirit will continue to work in the lives of believers to renew and change them, allowing them to respond to and obey the teachings of the Lord Jesus with faith and obey the Holy Spirit, so that they can live a life that overcomes sin.
God will personally protect the spirit, soul, and body of every believer, and when the Lord Jesus comes again, every believer will be completely sanctified and completely beyond reproach.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ and the bride of Christ. It was formed at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon all born-again believers and was headed by Christ. We believe that the establishment of local churches needs to be based on the teachings and definitions of the New Testament. We believe in the autonomy of local churches, and God's authority is the highest authority that believers and churches obey. We believe that all those who are willing to believe in Jesus and accept Jesus as their savior must participate in the church's baptism and declare themselves Christians in front of everyone. We believe that taking the Eucharist is to commemorate the Lord's death and the new covenant He established with us. We believe that the primary mission of the church is the Great Commission given by Jesus to His disciples, and it is also the opportunity and obligation of all saved believers to bear witness to the Lord in words and lives. We believe that the church needs to be supervised by elders, and the elders and deacons with different gifts should govern and make any decisions related to the church. We believe that as long as believers regularly attend church worship and fellowship, they should regard themselves as members of the church, fulfill their duties as children of God in God's house, gather regularly, pray, serve others, and serve and dedicate themselves to the church.
